Three ways to find videos
There are mainly three routes to finding a video on MissTK, depending on what clue you have:
- The search box: fastest when you have a clear keyword, code or actress name.
- Categories and tags: when you have no specific target and want to browse by "type".
- Popular / latest lists: when you have no direction and want to see what others are watching, or to keep up with new releases.
You can mix all three — narrow down with a category first, then refine with search.
Using the search box well
The search box is the most direct tool. A few practical tips:
- Codes are most precise: if you know the code, type it directly (for example "SSIS-698"). A code is unique, so the result is the most precise.
- Only remember the studio: typing a studio code (for example "MIDV") lists the whole series.
- Use genre terms: typing terms like "hitozuma" or "cosplay" lists videos of that type.
- Keep keywords short: fewer words means wider hits; more words means more precise. When nothing shows up, cut the keywords down and try again.
Browsing by category and tag
When you have no clear target, "browsing" is more comfortable than "searching":
- The Categories page: start from broad types — good for "I want a certain type, but haven't decided which video".
- The Tags page: tags are finer than categories, and one video carries several tags — good for cross-narrowing with detail keywords.
- The Popular list: when you don't know what to watch, going by "Popular" is usually a safe bet.
For the difference between categories, tags and genre terms, see "JAV Genres and Terminology".
Nothing found? A few troubleshooting tips
- Check the code format: the digit 0 and letter O are easy to mistype; case and hyphenation usually don't matter, but the characters themselves must be right.
- Rephrase the keyword: the same thing may have an original Japanese word, a Chinese translation and an English translation — try another wording.
- Step back to the studio code: if the full code finds nothing, use just the studio code (for example "MIDV") to list the series and look from there.
- It may not be indexed yet: very new or very niche works may not be in the library yet — try again later.
FAQ
Should I search in Japanese or English?
Try both. Codes are alphanumeric, so typing them directly is most precise; for genre terms, both the original Japanese word and translations may match — if nothing shows up, switch language and try again.
Why does searching a code return lots of unrelated results?
The code format may be mistyped, or the system split it into keywords to match. Confirm the code characters are correct, or switch to the studio code to narrow things down.
Where do I look to keep up with new releases?
Check the "Latest" list; for works that stand the test of time, check the "Popular" list. Both are good starting points when you have no specific target.
